Dedicated to the memory of Martin Buckley

Dearly loved husband of Claire, loving father of Andrew, James, Stuart and Suzanne, brother of Valerie: a loving and supportive Poppa to Liz; Heather, Ben and Hope; twins Leila and Harry; and Oliver.

Martin Wilfred Buckley started his career in the banking profession. Later an accountant in the steel industry. He then changed directions, becoming a teacher.

Martin gave 35 years to Higher Education as a University of Huddersfield lecturer. He taught a number of subjects including Accountancy, Law, and European Business. Amongst many other academic publications he was also the author of 'The Structure of Business'.

He was a student at Leeds University completing a BA in Accountancy, then Sheffield University to complete a Masters Degree in Socio Legal Studies.

Martin was a Fellow of the Association of Business Executives and for a number of years an Academic Assessor for The Chartered Institute of Credit Management.

When able, Martin was a keen gardener and an avid player of Sudoku, never being without his latest Sudoku book if he had time to spare.

Martin was a loving husband, and caring father. He is greatly missed by everyone whose life he touched.

Without him, life is different and diminished.
